Managing visitors to your workplace as well as your employees can be a stressful task to undertake, especially as it is incredibly important from a fire safety and security point of view. There are a number of things that you can do to make this a little easier.

Receptionists – make sure that you employ a receptionist to work your business opening hours. They can act as the first point of contact for visitors to your building as well as being able to help with administration tasks such as answering generic emails, taking telephone calls and booking and managing meeting rooms. In order for them to successfully do this you need to ensure that you have a reception desk and chairs available for your visitors to sit on whilst they wait for their meetings. You can also provide them with tea and coffee making facilities via an automatic drinks machine. A well maintained reception area gives a great first impression.

Digital systems – in order to ensure that your reception staff do not become overwhelmed with work and to give you a more robust idea of the number of people in your building at any given time, as well as providing you with a permanent digital record of both your employees attending your building and visitors each day you can utilise the services of a Visitor Management System UK company who have a range of digital solutions to help you.
