Living in glorious Gloucestershire

One of the largest counties in the UK is that of Gloucestershire. It may be significant, but most of it is undeveloped and not inhabited. There is only one city, the county of the capital of Gloucester, with medium-sized towns like Cheltenham and Stroud. to smaller ones such as Tewkesbury and Cirencester. In between, there are plenty of picturesque villages and hamlets and lots and lots of countryside, most of which you can happily ramble through. If you have access to a Park Home Life, you can look at the Park Homes Gloucestershire options and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the county.

If the words green and pleasant land were ever attached to a  county, it would be Gloucestershire. The land has all the elements of the great British countryside. There are small woods and collections of trees like at Westonbirt Arboretum. There are also wild woods such as the Forest of Dean. A forest was created purely for Medieval hunting by William the Conquerer and his Nobles.

The architecture of the county is also awe-inspiring. The stone of the Cotswolds has been used to make buildings, dwellings and field walls, given the county its distinctive look. As the sun sets or comes up, the sunshine hits these buildings and gives them a honey-coloured glow that sets them apart from anywhere else in the UK. They have their homely glow. The towns and cities are also cosmopolitan and vibrant. This is not just a rural place. The famous races at Cheltenham and the fantastic Cathedral in Gloucester are sights to behold.
